Involvement in Rocketry: I got into HPR in 2003 where I joined NAR and TRA and started the cert process. In 2004, I became a licensed amateur radio operator at the Technician level. Prior to getting into the hobbies, I spent 3 years in the US Navy as an Avionics Technician. After getting out, I spent time attending Idaho State University’s Vo-Tech school studying Electronics Technology. I’ve spent time as a Signal Technician for Union Pacific Railroad and worked on a BS in Applied Physics at UNLV in Las Vegas minoring in Computer Science. I’ve spent over 15 years in the IT field specializing in Network Engineering. I am currently certified at the L2 level in TRA and I am an Extra Class ham radio operator. Founding member of BORG (Bend Oregon Rocketry Group), a member of Stratofox, and current 3rd term President of the High Desert Amateur Radio Group in Central Oregon, I serve as the liaison between SS2S and Stratofox. I also contribute to the avionics, propulsion, and recovery teams. I am an 11 year resident of Bend, Oregon.
